Description:

Job Title: Ramp Agent

Location: London Stansted Airport, CM24 1QJ

Reports to: Ramp Supervisor

Function: Operations UK

Sub Function: Network Operations

Role Purpose: Join our dynamic Ramp Department at DHL International (UK) Ltd, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient unloading and reloading of materials arriving by air transport. Your work will be vital in maintaining compliance with DHL, Airline, and Legal Regulations, and ensuring materials are sorted and ready for distribution throughout our network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare load sheets and load plans.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of aircraft.
  • Liaise with handling agents and third-party shippers.
  • Coordinate container allocations and arrange fueling/de-icing as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely messaging.
  • Prepare flight plans and associated documentation.
  • Maintain clear communication with Network Control Group flight watch
  • Conduct Dangerous Goods checks and prepare declarations.
  • Coordinate efficient crew transportation and handling.
  • Support Ramp, Sort, and Warehouse operations as directed.
  • Assume supervisory roles when required.
  • Strict adherence to our Global Standard Operating Procedures.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Completion of relevant training courses (Mass and Balance, Advanced ULD Build Up, Airside Supervisors, CAT 6 Dangerous Goods IATA).
  • Understanding of aircraft loading procedures and AS400 Hub system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on developing relationships.

Rotational Shift Pattern:

  • Monday – Friday: 20: 00 – 06: 00 (Monday 02: 00 – 06: 00)
  • Sunday – Thursday: 20: 00 – 00: 00 (Sunday)
  • Monday – Thursday: 20: 00 – 06: 00
