Hours: Monday-Thursday 13: 30-00: 00 (30 minute break) - 40 hours per week

Key responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Managing complex employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, and ensuring compliance with employment laws, policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Utilise HR analytics to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness, and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Formulate and implement HR policies which meet Company needs and legislative requirements.
  • Provide information, advice and support to line managers and employees on personnel procedures, employment law and company policy to ensure that good personnel practices are consistently followed.
  • Management of sickness absence, liaising closely with line managers and advising them to help minimise employee recourse to an employment tribunal.
  • Track HR KPI’s such as turnover and sickness. Analsying reports in order to provide management with information to make informed decisions such as attendance and sickness absence.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to managers including delivery of HR core workshops and 121 coaching sessions.
  • Support with performance management.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks in order to promote good HR practice throughout the company.

You’ll bring to this role:

  • CIPD Level 5 - essential
  • CIPD Level 7 - Desirable
  • 3-4 years’ generalist HR experience
  • 3-4 years’ experience in Industrial relations working with Unions.
  • Driving Licence - Essential
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications including Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Confidentiality.
  • Presentation skills
  • A flexible approach to work.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies and frameworks
  • A safety first attitude. You must conduct yourself in an orderly manner within the workplace, ensuring that correct uniform and PPE is worn when required.
