Job Description
IHG is hiring a Restaurant Team Leader in Glasgow, ENG. This is a full-time position.
We are looking for an energetic and driven Full Time Restaurant Team Leader to join us at iasg Restaurant within Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa and embrace your unique, best self to provide our guests with heartfelt human connections!
At iasg, we're more than just a restaurant — we’re a place where stories are shared over plates, where service is personal, and where every guest experience matters. We're looking for a passionate, people-focused Restaurant Team Leader to support our F& B Manager and help us deliver truly memorable moments, every day.
At iasg, we don’t just cook — we celebrate the best of Scotland.
From rich local produce to bold, seasonal flavours, our dishes reflect the creativity, care, and character of our team.
As a Restaurant Team Leader you’ll be 100% you, bringing your authentic personality to everything you do; be the ultimate host, confidently leading yourself and making creative decisions that elevate every interaction; and spark joy, using every tool available to craft meaningful and memorable experiences.
As our Restaurant Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in making iasg an outstanding place to dine and work! Your main responsibilities will include:
Supporting the F& B Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant
Leading and motivating the team — coaching and mentoring to help them shine in their roles
Delivering unforgettable guest experiences, and stepping in to handle service recoveries when needed
Training and onboarding new team members, setting them up for success
Occasionally supporting the bar team, so experience in a bar environment is a plus!
We’re looking for someone who…
Has previous experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager in a fast-paced restaurant setting
Brings a deep passion for food, drink, and genuine hospitality
Has a flexible schedule — available for a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends (40 hours/week) between 3-5pm to 12-1am.
Enjoys mentoring others and has a proven track record of supporting team development
Is driven, proactive, and focused on creating exceptional results
Radiates warmth and authenticity, with a natural “can-do” attitude
Joining the Kimpton family isn’t just about providing our guests with excellent service, we also have secured a spot in Fortune’s ‘100 best companies to work for’ 7 times since 2009, and it is no surprises why! We can offer you…
Financial security - £14.65 per hour (£30, 472 per annum FTE), guaranteed hours, paid overtime, a free meal on shift, paid holidays, subsidised unsocial hour travel support and enhanced sick pay! Plus, Tronc paid monthly if in eligible role. Wagestream - a financial wellbeing app giving you the opportunity to save, track and withdraw your pay as you earn it.
Growth and development – extensive training, opportunities for career progression across the world, plus 2 paid days volunteering per year with a cause of your choice.
Colleague perks - worldwide discounted room rates and discounted F& B whilst on employee rate (IHG has over 6, 000 hotels and growing), plus generous friends and family rate. Discounts through our portal on your supermarket shop, experiences and loads of retailers on our perk’s portal.
Wellbeing – generous maternity/paternity pay, employee assistance programme available 24/7 and access to mental health first-aiders
Hotel specific benefits – Generous discounts in our newly renovated Spa and our F& B outlets (*must be booked according to processes)!
