Home, a place where you belong
Want to be part of a team that truly cares, not only about our customers, but about you too? Our colleagues tell us that working here feels different. We’re brilliant at what we do, and we look after each other just as much as we support our customers. If you’ve ever felt like just a number in your current job, this could be the change you’ve been waiting for.
You’ll help people with complex needs and experience of homelessness to live more independently, where no two days are the same. One moment you’re helping someone take a big step towards their goals, the next you’re supporting them through life’s everyday ups and downs.
What you’ll do
Lead and coordinate 1-2-1 person-centred support planning at a supported housing service for ex-offenders at risk of homelessness
Balance support, safeguarding, admin and meetings while managing caseloads
Support Customers in areas including recovery, maintaining a home, budgeting, attending appointments and changing offending behaviours
Work with partner agencies to support, safeguard and empower our customers
Help customers build independence and prepare for their move-on into the community
Why join us
This is more than a job – it’s a place where you feel valued. With our learning and development offer, and support from friendly colleagues, you’ll make a real difference every day! If you’re ready to leave behind the ordinary, do something that really matters. Be part of one of the UK’s Great Places to Work!
You have
A passion to help and support others in a supported housing or homeless setting
Energy, positivity, and you share our values
Experience or interest in assessing referrals and coordinating support
The ability to remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach
Stronger together
We do our best work when we’re ourselves. That’s why inclusion, wellbeing, and our diversity networks help make Home Group a great place to work!
The practical bits
You’ll work Mon-Fri 9am-5: 30pm, including rota weekends (Sat-Sun 10am-2pm with TOIL) and later shifts (10: 30am-7pm)
Service based at our 11-bed project in Southend-on-Sea, near to the town centre
Although you’ll occasionally lone work, we normally work together in a small team
You need an Enhanced DBS with barring list (we pay)
What’s in it for you?
34 days leave, rising to 39 (this includes bank holidays and a “me day”)
Health cash plan saving you (and your children) £1140+ each year covering dental, opticians, prescriptions and more
Matching pension contribution (up to 7% and life insurance of 3x basic salary)
Instant pay access with Stream
800+ discounts on shops, holidays, days out, tech and more
