Home, a place where you belong

Calling all night owls and day enthusiasts! Whether you prefer staying awake and working through the night or being active during the day, we have opportunities for you. We’re looking for dedicated care workers who are passionate about making a difference in our customers' lives.

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our kind, caring team of Care Workers (known internally as Reablement Workers). We support our customers with a range of support needs which may include frailty and dementia, helping them regain or maintain their independence and ‘live well’ in their own homes. Some of our customers have more complex support needs and may require personal care, including bathing, toileting, and getting dressed.

You can be service-based or work across 3 different services, no day is the same.

Typical day as a Reablement Worker

  • We provide 24-hour support to our customers.
  • You'll be supporting older people aged 55+ with varying care and support needs to live independently in their home.
  • Working closely with the care team to follow support plans and reporting any concerns.
  • Supporting our customers with everyday daily living activities.
  • Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.

You’ll go home each day knowing that you have helped change our customers lives for the better, here, at one of the top ten Great Place to Work in the UK!

You bring

  • Hold a Level 2 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience working in a personal care environment or willing to study for a L2 Diploma in Care.
  • If you’ve worked in a CQC care setting previously, that would be great!
  • Have a positive, caring can-do attitude, and empathy to really make a difference to our customers lives.
  • Previous experience of working with support plans, recording and using information concisely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of local community and networks would be brilliant.

Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review

Our team

Our fabulous team is super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. We believe in creating a warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

You’ll report to Melissa, our Registered Manager, working alongside our Care and Support team and our housing management teams too. Our team includes a Client Service Manager, Lead Reablement Workers, and Reablement Workers.

Job details

  • Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.
  • We provide 24-hour support, so you'll work on a rota basis with shifts between 07: 00am and 10: 00pm, taking your turn to work days, evenings, nights, and bank holidays.
  • Example shifts include 07: 00-14: 45, 17: 00-21: 00, 14: 00-22: 00, and night shifts.
  • Although you’ll work shifts, we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
  • Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans.
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
