Home. A place where you belong

Looking for a job where you really belong? Where you can be, well you! Bringing your uniqueness, brilliant skills and awesome experience to deliver amazing outcomes for our customers.

As our Night Lead Support Worker (known internally as a Support Coordinator), you’ll be supporting customers who have complex needs to develop independent living skills and achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing, we know!

What will your typical shift as Night Lead Support Worker look like?

  • Creating support plans with your customers and coordinating our small team of Support Workers working to the plans.
  • Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
  • Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
  • Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too.
  • The best bit! Changing our customers lives for the better. Fancy going home each day knowing that you have done that!

At Home Group, we all come from different walks of life. It’s what makes us, us. It’s what makes us great (In the top 10 for Great Places to work in the UK in fact!).

What you’ll bring

  • Are passionate to support our customers to live their best life, working collaboratively with an eye for detail.
  • Have experience of creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues in working to work to the plans.
  • Have experience of coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
  • Able to work using initiative, remaining calm under pressure and have a resilient approach.
  • Comfortable using technology to create and update support plans, complete online learning and to connect with colleagues.
  • An Enhanced Disclosure Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. If you don’t have one, great news we’ll pay for this.
  • Everything else that makes you, you!
  • If you have a Level 3 Diploma in Care or equivalent that’s fantastic, but if you don’t, no problem as we’ll pay and support you to achieve this.

A place where you belong

Great things happen when we can be ourselves at work. We want all our colleagues to be who they truly are, to belong without any fear of prejudice, or discrimination. We are proud of our internal diversity networks, peers and allies (Multicultural, LGBTQIA+ and Disability), supporting us all to be our best. Together we make Home Group a great place to work!

What’s in it for you? There’s lots!

  • Health Cash Plan – we’ll pay expenses for your optical and dental appointments and treatments (saving you up to £xx per year)
  • 25 days holiday rising to 30 plus 8 statutory holidays. Fancy more? You can also buy 5 extra days each year!
  • Generous Pension with Life insurance (3 times annual salary)
  • Amazing shopping discounts including supermarket shop, days out and travel.
  • Excellent training, funded qualifications and career development. We grow our own, so you’ll have first chance to apply for all our roles as we advertise them internally first. We don't want to lose your brilliant talent.

So, when you are ready for the next step or fancy doing something completely different, grow with us.
