Description:

Housing Concierge (Weekend Day shifts)

Leeds, West Yorkshire

Permanent - Part time (15 hpw)

Salary £24, 638 per annum [pro rata], plus brilliant benefits, including health cash plan!

Home, a place where you belong

Come and join us as our amazing housing concierge at The Sycamores, our brand-new extra care service in lovely Woodlesford. With its café, hair salon, activity rooms and beautiful gardens, it’s a real community where over 55s can live independently, with the reassurance that support is always close by, we’re more than just a place to live.

You’ll be at the heart of it all on weekends, keeping things running smoothly, safely and with that extra bit of care.

Typical shift as a Housing Concierge

  • Keeping an eye on things through CCTV and regular patrols, helping everyone feel safe, secure and well looked after.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors while making sure we follow the rules that keep our community running happily.
  • Responding to any little hiccups, like maintenance issues, and working with managers and contractors to get them sorted.
  • Working side-by-side with our lovely on-site care team to support customers if anything unexpected pops up.
  • Writing up reports and logging what’s happened during your shift, so we’ve got clear records and handovers.
  • Helping build a place where customers feel at home and neighbours get on. We’re all about good vibes here.

You’ll go home each day knowing that you have helped change our customers lives for the better, here at one of the top 10 for Great Places to Work in the UK!

You bring

  • A friendly, calm and practical approach to keeping people safe, along with a keen eye for spotting when something’s not quite right.
  • Confidence using technology, whether that’s logging info, checking CCTV or sending updates, but don’t worry you don’t need to be a tech wizard.
  • The ability to work independently while still being a great team player, ready to roll up your sleeves and muck in.
  • A positive attitude and a natural warmth that helps people feel comfortable approaching you with anything.
  • Experience in a housing, support, customer service or safety-related setting would be fab, but your approach matters most.

Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.

Our team

You’ll be reporting to Emma Carter our Community and Wellbeing Manager, working closely alongside our housing team and our on-site Care team too. You’ll have tons of experienced support on hand working within our exciting brand-new service.

Job details

  • Willingness to work weekend shifts on a rota, including bank holidays, with a flexible outlook and a strong sense of reliability.
  • Shifts are usually 8am–4pm or 3pm–11pm
  • 24-hour support to our customers
  • Able to use technology to monitor CCTV, update records and report repairs and carry out building safety checks.
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
