Home Condition Manager

Newcastle upon Tyne, hybrid working 2 days office based per week

Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)

Earn circa £40, 500 pa negotiable based on skills and experience, with brilliant benefits!

We’re looking for a Home Condition Manager to join our Asset Management team.

You’ll lead a team that checks the condition of our customers’ homes, making sure they’re warm, safe and well looked after. You’ll collaborate across teams to make sure jobs get done well, all the way through. What you’ll do

  • Lead and support a team of surveyors carrying out home condition checks and energy assessments

  • Plan and share survey schedules so the team knows exactly where to be and when

  • Review work to keep standards high and ensure everything’s done safely

  • Spot ways to improve how we work and make sure we keep up with new rules and ideas

  • Support team learning and development through mentoring and coaching

  • Use data to help plan future repairs and improvements to our homes

What you bring

  • A degree in the build environment or equivalent experience

  • Experience managing or mentoring a team in housing, property or a similar area

  • Understanding the collection of stock condition information in social housing

  • Great communication skills to work well with teams and customers

  • Confidence using survey software and turning data into action

  • A passion for helping people learn and grow

Job details

  • You’ll work Monday to Friday

  • You’ll manage your own diary, so if you want to take a longer lunch for a haircut or swim, you can use your flexi time to manage that!

  • This is a hybrid role, and you’ll spend 2 days in the Strawberry Lane office in Newcastle and the rest working from home

  • To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!

  • You need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
