We have a fabulous job opportunity for a Handy Person to join our awesome team. We are the multi skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers.
As a business we support customers with mental health support needs who live in supported accommodation in a wide range of properties and grounds. As our handy person you’ll spend much of your time working across our different accommodation services in County Durham.

Job details
You will work Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm. We are flexible, so long as customer needs are met, we’ll adapt work patterns to suit you
Occasional travel to support other services as needed.
You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
Based at Sherwood House, Brandon (Durham), with travel across Co Durham properties
Typical day as a Handy Person

Perform minor or emergency repairs, decorating and cleaning in properties and communal areas.
Handle tasks like hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paint, changing washers, unblocking sinks, mowing lawns and clearing grounds.
Carry out regular fire safety checks.
Work with colleagues, commercial partners, and customers throughout the day.
Liaise with Customer Service Centre and contractors to report and follow up on repairs outside your remit
