Flexible Hours & Shifts

Hourly Pay from £13.50 to 15.27 dependent on skills and experience, weekly pay and access to our great benefits

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our really awesome team as a Housing Manager on a casual basis. Your role in a nutshell, is to make our customers happy! It’s not just about providing our customers with a home; it’s about building relationships with them. This means that when it comes to those situations that are a bit difficult or tricky (which do happen from time to time) that we make it easier to deal with.

Typical day as a Housing Manager

  • You will be responsible for carrying out generic Housing Management activities including arrears, void management, estate management, customer involvement, income management, lettings and other related tasks.
  • You will continuously improve services to meet challenging targets and obtain best value for customers, working in partnership with stakeholders, external partners and colleagues.
  • You will also signpost our customers to our varied access channels within the contact centre, improving their access to our range of services.

You have

  • You will have a background in neighbourhood management processes, either within the housing sector or an alternative sector.
  • You’ll have an understanding of housing management, housing law and customer service.
  • You are fully competent in IT and can learn new systems quickly.
  • You’re super organised and methodical in your approach and are a proactive self-starter with a “can do” positive attitude.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.
  • Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities.

About our team

To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our Regional Operations Managers are Taranjit Chana, Tamara Valmas, Naomi Heritage and Di Rose, but you will be working much closely with our Team of Senior Housing Managers, Keely Hawtree, Jane Woolard, Maureen Lodge and Jason Houston, we've all been with Home Group for quite some time now and will be there to make you feel part of the team.

There are 25 of us in the team, and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!

Job details

  • You’ll work across our rented portfolio, which ranges from Peterborough to Canvey Island to Hertfordshire but you will have specific responsibilities for our assigned to you and we will have the flexibility of location
  • The great news is that you will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.
  • You will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay your business mileage to cover this use!
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.

Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.
