Description:

Supported Living Worker - CQC Accommodation Based

Earn £13.45 per hour (£26, 300 per annum) plus great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw) and part time (17.5 hpw) roles available on a rota basis including sleep in shifts

Female applicants only, in line with genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010, due to the nature of the service

What you’ll do

  • Support customers with everyday living tasks, including cooking, shopping, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.

  • Deliver care within a complex service supporting individuals with high and varied needs, including working with two non-verbal customers who may present with behaviours that challenge, that includes physical interactions.

  • Use effective communication methods and positive behaviour support strategies to understand needs, reduce distress, and promote wellbeing.

  • Promote independence by working towards individual goals outlined in personalised support plans.

  • Assist customers to attend appointments and engage in hobbies,

  • Provide personal care and medication support in line with individual needs and relevant policies.

  • Carry out risk assessments, set achievable goals, and regularly review and monitor progress to ensure positive outcomes

You have

  • Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate, or willing to work towards

  • Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail

  • Experience of caring for others, professionally or personally

  • Confident using initiative, calm under pressure and resilient

The practical bits

  • Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.

  • Work on a rota which will include sleep in shifts

  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
