About the role

As our People Development Apprentice, you’ll be a valued member of the team, learning by doing and supporting colleagues with meaningful, hands-on work. No two days are the same, and you’ll be trusted with real responsibilities while being fully supported as you develop.

You’ll learn to

  • Be a team player, delivering and supporting our colleagues to engage in People Development activities

  • Be confident in communicating with a range of different people

  • Face the challenges of balancing competing priorities and working to tight deadlines

  • Use your brilliant personality to impress our colleagues, stakeholders and external partners

  • Collaborate with the People Development Business Partners to deliver a seamless people development experience

What qualification will you gain?

  • Customer Service Assistant level 2 apprenticeship with possible progression onto a level 3

  • Your academic learning will be delivered by one of our specialist apprenticeship providers, with support from an experienced tutor and your team.

  • You’ll be given dedicated time to attend learning sessions, complete your studies, and access learning materials alongside practical, on-the-job experience.

  • You’ll combine structured study with hands-on learning, building the skills and confidence to support your long-term career.

We’re looking for candidates who

  • Are Home Group customers

  • Have achieved a level 1 in English and Mathematics, if you don’t already have this – this is built into your apprenticeship learning

  • Are IT confident, or at the very least have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office including Outlook

  • Are keen to learn and develop new skills, including both verbal and written communication.

  • Share our values, want to make a difference and enjoy working with people and being part of a team

  • Are organised, curious and willing to ask questions.
