We are looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking Facilities Manager to lead all aspects of facilities operations at our Colnbrook site, ensuring a safe, compliant, and high‑quality environment for colleagues, customers, and visitors alike.

This is a key role supporting operational performance at one of our major sites. You will oversee both soft and hard FM services, manage third‑party suppliers, lead a small on‑site team, and act as the technical expert for all property‑related matters.

What You’ll Do

As our Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for:

Facilities & Supplier Management

  • Acting as the primary on-site client manager for our outsourced hard FM provider.
  • Overseeing planned preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring full statutory compliance.
  • Managing the delivery and performance of soft FM services, including cleaning, security, waste, catering/vending, mailroom, reception, gym and landscaping.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintaining full adherence to legislation covering building regulations, fire safety, H& S, and environmental standards.
  • Managing all statutory documentation, risk assessments, incident logs, and site operating procedures.
  • Leading emergency response planning and supporting internal/external audits.

Financial & Project Management

  • Managing facility budgets, reviewing supplier invoices, controlling spend, and identifying opportunities for cost efficiency.
  • Delivering annual leasehold and capital works within budget and programme.
  • Leading refurbishment and improvement projects to continually enhance site standards.

People & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Leading and developing a small on‑site FM team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and customer service.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for operational teams, senior leadership, contractors, landlords, and regulatory bodies.
  • Supporting cross‑functional initiatives, sustainability improvements, and national DHL programmes.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years’ experience or equivalent in property maintenance or facilities management.
  • Strong building technical knowledge and contract management expertise.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience delivering FM projects and managing suppliers.
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • A formal FM/property qualification (CIOB/RICS preferred).
  • A full UK driving licence.
