Description:

As a Digital Buildings System Architect based in Dubai, UAE. The role will involve designing and overseeing the implementation of integrated digital building systems. You will be responsible for creating system architectures, selecting appropriate technologies, and ensuring seamless integration to deliver efficient and sustainable building solutions:
  • Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, assisting with Lighting controls (LCS), Home Automation (HA), Guest room management system (GRMS), Access Control (ACS), BMS product selection, system design, and troubleshooting. Provide guidance and resolution for technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • System and Solution Design: Work closely with customers to understand their specific building automation needs and design customized LCS/ HA/ GRMS / ACS solutions. Develop system architectures, select appropriate hardware and software components, and ensure seamless integration with other building systems.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay up to date with the latest digital building technologies, IoT platforms, communication protocols, and data analytics tools. Evaluate and select the most suitable technologies and solutions to meet project goals while considering factors like functionality, interoperability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Project Management: Act as a technical lead throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, quality control, and adherence to project specifications. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies with system integrators and Channel partners
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, channel partners, System integrators, clients, and stakeholders. Assist in resolving complex technical issues, reviewing technical documentation, and conducting design and code reviews. Stay actively involved in the implementation process to ensure compliance with architectural standards.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and product development, to drive collaborative solution development and address customer needs. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance as required to resolve customer issues and ensure smooth operation.
  • Documentation and Training: Create technical documentation, including system design specifications, installation guides, and user manuals. Conduct training sessions for customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to enhance understanding and utilization of LCS/ HA/ GRMS/ACS solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to LCS/HA/ BMS/ GRMS/ ACS solutions. Provide feedback to product development teams for product enhancements and participate in the improvement of internal processes and tools.
What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years' experience in the relevant industry
  • Strong knowledge of digital building systems, IoT technologies, and building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
  • Experience in designing and implementing integrated building systems, including HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management.
  • Proficiency in system architecture design, data modeling, and integration methodologies.
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency concepts in the context of digital buildings.
  • Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach.
