Description:

Job Summary: The Services Engineer will handle start-up/commissioning, preventive maintenance, and unscheduled maintenance on Schneider Electric UPS systems, this role includes data center assembly services, power audits, and educating customers on their equipment. The Service Engineer will work with team members on custom and large installation projects, The position requires technical knowledge, the ability to work independently, and compliance with safety policies. The role demands 24/7 field service availability when assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Perform start-up/commissioning, preventive maintenance, and unscheduled maintenance on all Schneider Electric UPS systems on single module and multi-module systems.
  • Perform data center assembly services for Schneider Electric containments.
  • Perform power audits of customer's distribution systems, working with sales to complete availability assessments.
  • Educate Schneider Electric customers on the basic operation of their equipment. Inform customers of issues they may experience with their equipment in a way that is beneficial to both the customer and Schneider Electric.
  • Work with other team members to complete custom and large installation projects.
  • Properly document, label, and return all defective parts utilized in the repair of Schneider Electric equipment to the designated disposal/repair location.
  • Assist Schneider Electric service partners in site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance.
  • High level of technical knowledge of electronic/electrical component theory.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business procedures, professional documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, must be able to communicate effectively to various intellectual levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Electrical and Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical and UPS maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Safety mindset
  • Strong knowledge of UPS systems, power quality equipment and electrical distribution systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and being computer literate.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
