Description:
The DECODE LAB group (Dr. Hernan and Dr Scott) at Nemours seeks a motivated Research Assistant I to conduct research for both internally and externally funded projects of interest to the laboratory.
- Performs a range of experiments and data analyses under the direction of Principle Investigators or a Research Associate.
- May be required to perform experiments during certain weekends or after hours (depending on the need of experiment).
- Expertise in 3D printing and design.
- Handle, Manage and maintain small animal colony.
- Experience in Animal Behavioral experiments and Stereotaxic surgeries.
- Assist with maintenance and operations in the laboratory.
- Maintains organized and detailed handwritten and computerized records of work performed.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills conducive to working in a team.
Qualifications/ Expected Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in basic science
- Laboratory management
- 3D printing and design
- Preparation of standard laboratory solutions
