Nemours is hiring!

Description:

The Research and Reporting Analyst, a crucial member of the Biomedical Research Informatics Center (BRIC) team, will collaborate closely with the Department of Pediatrics and the Delaware Comprehensive Sickle Cell Research Program. This role actively contributes to cutting-edge pediatric research by supporting the data and reporting needs of the multidisciplinary sickle cell disease (SCD) research team and collaborators. Your responsibilities include generating and validating research reports and data sets through queries of the Data Warehouse and Research databases.

This is a hybrid position.

In particular, you will work closely with Epic analysts, developing proficiency in navigating and extracting information from Cosmos, a large data set that allows health systems using Epic to gain insights and make discoveries from their combined data representing over 200 million patients. You will apply advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to analyze these data, uncovering patterns, trends, and potential correlations relevant to pediatric health and SCD. By analyzing Cosmos and integrating data from various sources with electronic health records (EHRs), you will play a key role in supporting hypothesis generation and advancing our understanding of complex medical conditions. Ensuring that reports meet established standards and adhere to security and privacy guidelines (e.g., HIPAA) is a critical aspect of this role. The successful candidate is expected to work with large, complex datasets, transforming them into reports and visualizations for publications, grant support, and administrative needs, utilizing a diverse array of tools and resources.
