Job Description
Nemours is hiring a Pediatric Psychologist, Integrated Primary Care in Wilmington, DE. This is a full-time position.
Nemours Children's Health - Delaware invites applicants for a full-time integrated primary care psychologist position in our Dover and Milford Clinics. We have an over 20-year history of providing integrated behavioral health services as part of interprofessional teams in our network of Nemours pediatric primary clinics throughout the state of Delaware and are excited to expand our team.
The psychologist in this position will join pediatric primary care teams comprised of physicians, medical residents, behavioral health providers, nurses, medical assistants, and care coordinators who provide team-based care to patients and their families. Psychologists engage in important work around consultation, assessment, and intervention for youth from birth to 21. Our robust program also includes an early identification assessment service for autism within the medical home. We also have large training programs in psychology, social work, and pediatrics that provide ample opportunities to teach and train future integrated primary care team members. Applicants who are bilingual (English-Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply.
The psychologist in this position will split time (2 days in each clinic) in state capital of Dover and in Milford, which is a rural health professional shortage area in southern Delaware.
This role includes many opportunities to participate in program development, leadership, advocacy, and community outreach. In addition, there will be opportunities for quality improvement and research initiatives. Our division collaborates with our research colleagues in the Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science ( https: //www.nemours.org/pediatric-research/area/health-care-delivery-science.html ). Psychologists are members of the medical staff at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware and are supported with applying for an academic appointment through the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
