Description:

Nemours is seeking a Laboratory Gait Intern to join our team in Wilmington, DE.

To assist in the daily management of research studies within the Department of Orthopedics working in the gait analysis lab with both research and clinical associates.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist Principal Investigator with aspects of grant and protocol preparation and submission to include: preparation of submission packets to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and ongoing submissions to IRBs.
  • Assist in the recruitment of subjects for the studies to include: interviewing patients to determine appropriateness for research study.
  • Assist Study Coordinators and Principal Investigator with data collection and compilation. Interact with study coordinators, principal investigator; ensure data corrections are made.
  • Have compassionate interaction with all research subjects enrolled in the studies both on the phone, via email or in clinic.
  • Assist Study Coordinators in the conduct of the research study.
  • Assist in abstract/manuscript preparation. Attend research meetings, present updates of progress.
  • Adhere to Nemours Research Programs' policies and procedures including radiation safety, biohazard, OSHA guidelines.


    • Qualifications:

    1 year of specialized training beyond high school

    3-6 months of job related experience
