Description:
The Cardiac Data Registry Manager is a registered nurse that supervises a staff of Database Coordinators. The role provides leadership for data collection/management for the Cardiac Center especially as related to registries.
Provides data collection, report analysis, informatics, and services/support for defined databases. Participates in building, testing, and upgrading the application database as needed. Provides appropriate user testing. Actively participates in performance improvement.
Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations, and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the Nemours Foundation.
Essential Functions:
Provide leadership for data collection/management for Cardiac Center especially as related to registries.
Initiates and is responsible for data collection for Nemours Cardiac Center (NCC) Registries.
Builds and maintains clinical databases.
Oversees and coordinates data source, collection, analysis, and related activities.
Act as Site representative for Nemours NCC Registries.
Assist site physician sponsor in completing steps for participation.
Coordinate site's completion of training and certification.
Maintain software security assignments as required.
Maintain/create systems within NCC to ensure all relevant data is captured.
Establish procedures for data collection, submission, and correction.
Complete and oversee data collection and data entry carefully and accurately.
Notify physician sponsor of any issues related to potential data error or inaccuracy.
Work to correct any potential errant data.
Participate in the registry related activity discussions and projects; relay pertinent information to sponsor/leaders.
Communicate thoughts and ideas regarding potential database improvements to the physician sponsor/leader.
Communicate team data collection or technical questions to sponsor/leaders for escalation.
Consult with physician's sponsor/leaders regarding data reporting responsibilities
Requirements:
BSN required
Active Delaware nursing license
Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing RN (preferably in a cardiac department)
BLS from American Heart Assocation.
