As the Total Return Swap Trading Associate in Special Products/Distressed Loan Documentation, you will work with external clients and individual stakeholder's to execute loan trade documentation. You will work with the Total Return Swap Trading Desk, Trading Assistants, internal and external trading counterparties to execute loan trades as quickly as possible while abiding by all procedures and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with the trading desk, clients, counsel and operations to settle par and distressed trades
  • Draft, review and understand both Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA) Standard and other legal documents including Trade Confirms, Assignment Agreements, Purchase and Sale Agreements
  • Review and understand Credit Agreements and other relevant trade documentation
  • Manage heavy trade portfolio across all various lines of business while maintaining a clean aging profile
  • Monitor/track/report of all escalated issues using appropriate workflow tools
  • Coordinate with Deal Closing, Maintenance and settlements to maintain non-agent deal builds and facility records
  • Maintain monthly/weekly/daily reporting to senior management for open trades and trading metrics is required

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • 3 years prior experience with syndicated loan settlements or trading operations
  • Extensive knowledge of the trade lifecycle and/or experience supporting a trading business
  • Experience with LSTA standard documentation, knowledge of the LSTA Standard Terms and Conditions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly, self-motivate, and demonstrate a strong work ethic
  • Keen to question everything and understand the detail behind the numbers and/or process
  • Strong PC Skills: in particular Excel and Word
  • Syndicated loans experience

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • BA or BS Degree
  • Experience with LoanIQ and Clearpar
