As a Software Engineer III - QA Automation/Selenium/Java/Python at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. You will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure traceability of requirements through test cases and test results.
- Prepare and present test reports, metrics, and quality assessments to stakeholders.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for cloud-based applications on AWS.
- Integrate AI/ML into test automation frameworks and validate their outputs.
- Analyze and test AI-driven features, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and ethical compliance.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation).
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and ability to test AI-driven features.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Experience with ETL, KAFKA, API testing tools, Performance and load testing tools.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Advanced experience with AWS cloud architecture, deployment, and monitoring. Preferably AWS certification.
- Knowledge of database querying and SQL.
- Experience with business process modeling and workflow tools.
- Familiarity with ethical considerations in AI testing.
