As a Risk Management - Strategic Analytics - Senior Associate within the Risk Management and Compliance team at JPMorgan Chase, you will be at the center of keeping our firm strong and resilient. Your role will involve forecasting losses to inform Card Acquisition investment decisions and provide guidance to credit strategy teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration, and attention to detail to effectively deliver on behalf of the team and the business.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Acquisition Risk Loss Forecasting process by conducting complex analysis of segment data and isolate risk using analytical techniques such as time series forecasting, leveraging both internal and external credit data
  • Lead the end to end forecast process by establishing ownership of forecast deliverables driven by the Acquisition Investment Decision calendar
  • Challenge and guide other Associates and Sr. Analysts on the team with their projects, assuring a strong culture, and encouraging continuous professional development
  • Develop and present materials for Executive Leadership across the Risk, Finance and Marketing organizations.
  • Support launch of new products and channels by evaluating loss outlook and anticipated behavior given the product constructs
  • Monitor the current loss and delinquency trends to inform forecast adjustments. Also work with cross functional teams on integrating macro-economic views into forecasting
  • Support ongoing internal and external audits by maintain strong documentation and controls
  • Demonstrate strong strategic thinking, operational excellence, leadership and a control-oriented mentality.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance/Statistics/Economics/Mathematics/Operations Research) is required
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills with the ability to develop common sense solutions to complex business challenges
  • Strong P& L knowledge and understanding of drivers of profitability
  • Proven ability to influence and drive results thorough effective thought leadership and teamwork
  • Ability to lead a team by coaching and developing peers in support of delivering timely and accurate results
  • Strong knowledge of data extraction and manipulation tools - PYTHON, SAS, SQL and EXCEL

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Advanced degree is preferred
  • 5+ years of Credit Risk Management and/or Marketing Analytics in financial industry, preferably credit cards.
