As a Credit Risk Portfolio Assurance Vice President in Risk Management team, you will perform research and analysis to provide credible challenge to credit risk decision frameworks and portfolio risk strategies. You use your credit risk and operations experience to identify key considerations across the account lifecycle and translate data into clear insights and recommendations. You partner with stakeholders to promote end-to-end solutions that mitigate risk while balancing revenue, expense, and customer impacts. You help us stay aligned to evolving regulatory and control expectations and drive effective risk outcomes.

Job responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze portfolio data, including key risk indicators, to evaluate portfolio performance
  • Perform analyses that support risk assessments and provide credible challenge to risk decision frameworks and strategy criteria
  • Prepare executive presentations and clear narratives for risk leadership forums, committees, business reviews, and management meetings
  • Deliver persuasive, well-supported recommendations that drive decision-making and accountable follow-through
  • Monitor regulatory requirements, risk management policies, standards, procedures, and technology changes to validate ongoing control compliance


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 years plus of experience in financial services in credit risk management, controls, audit, quality assurance, or compliance
  • Strong understanding of the account lifecycle, including underwriting, portfolio management, and collections
  • Detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers across the account lifecycle
  • Functional knowledge of credit risk strategy, business development, product development, and project management
  • Understanding of cross-functional dependencies across first line of defense, product owners, and credit strategy to provide effective challenge aligned to risk appetite
  • Ability to articulate the impact of risks and issues on business outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Ability to translate business problems into conceptual analytical and automation architecture
  • SAS or equivalent data mining expertise


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of small business lending or small business risk capabilities
