As an Data Owner Lead within Consumer Community Banking line of business, you will be advancing the the firm's agenda of enabling the business to drive faster innovation through the use of its data by ensuring that data is clearly documented, great quality, and well-protected. You are responsible for all new customer acquisition data, from shopping and application to risk assessment and account opening; you will be working with data technology teams to publish it to the data lake and data warehouse, and optimizing it for advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases. You will serve as the subject matter expert of the data critical to their product, lead change management from legacy to modernized data, and collaborate with technology and business partners to execute on data requirements. You will also identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks throughout the data life cycle simplifying the work involved in data generation, publication, conversion to dashboards, models, and natural language queries.
Job responsibilities- Document data requirements for your product, coordinate with technology to get the data created, and business partners to manage change from legacy data to modernized data
- Model the data with long term vision to enable efficient querying, natural language querying, and use in LLMs; utilize business data dictionary and business metadata from tech and product teams in describing the data in simple understandable terms
- Develop ideas for data products by understanding analytics needs and pain points; create prototypes that analytics and data engineering teams can use as requirements in productizing the datasets
- Develop proof of concepts for natural language querying of the data, and collaborate with analytics, data science teams, and other stakeholders to rollout the capability to business users
- Support the team in building the backlog, grooming initiatives, and creating user stories to lead data engineering scrum teams to publish new data and create data products
- Manage direct or matrixed staff to execute data-related tasks
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years working experience data modeling for relational, NoSQL, and graph databases
- Generates advanced data models using firmwide tooling and designing for high performance querying/reporting
- Expertise in data technologies such as analytics, business intelligence, machine learning, data warehousing (Snowflake, Data Bricks, or Redshift), data management & governance, and AWS cloud solutions
- Experience with natural language processing, machine learning and deep learning toolkits (like TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas)
- Open data standards, data taxonomy and vocabularies, metadata management
- Able to balance short-term goals and long-term vision in highly complex environments
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Master's degree
- Credit card data domain expertise
- Building Agentic, Python, or bot automations
