Description:

The Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA) leads large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standards, and business process change management events. It also heads the Chief Data Office for Corporate Finance and the Treasury/Chief Investment Office (T/CIO). The team provides centralized program management, business analysis, targeted program governance, and consistent application of program management standards, focusing on the Data Acquisition framework for strategic and legacy Finance, TCIO, and Wholesale Credit Risk platforms.

The Corporate Finance & T/CIO Chief Data Office (CDO) drives data governance and policy adherence to Firmwide Data Risk Management standards, including Data Governance, Use, Storage, Protection, Quality, Retention & Destruction. This role is part of a high-performing team focused on leading the Data Quality function for Corporate Finance, overseeing data quality processes, controls, and issue remediation throughout the Data Governance Lifecycle.

As a Corporate Finance Chief Data Office - Data Quality Vice President within the Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team, you will be leading the Data Quality function for Corporate Finance, overseeing data quality processes, controls, and issue remediation throughout the Data Governance Lifecycle. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and the Firmwide Chief Data Office Team to deliver data control capabilities and ensure practices align with data policy and procedures. You will also assist CDO leadership in preparing for Data Risk Management Forums and accelerate data quality issue analysis and remediation. This role provides an opportunity to build strong partnerships with stakeholders and participate in Firmwide Data Risk Management initiatives. You will also mentor junior team members and partner with Control Management to promote remediation of data-related Issues and Action Plans.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Firmwide Chief Data Office Team to deliver data control capabilities and ensure practices align with data policy and procedures, supporting Corporate Finance data quality issues throughout the issue remediation lifecycle.
  • Assist CDO leadership in preparing for Data Risk Management Forums by creating and validating data quality management metrics, providing insights on volumes, themes, and challenges, and offering advisory services on data initiatives through project management and implementation planning.
  • Accelerate data quality issue analysis and remediation through effective program governance, process understanding, and proactive oversight monitoring.
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, including Firmwide CDO, other LOB/CF Chief Data Offices, business process owners, data owners, and technology stakeholders, to achieve data quality lifecycle service level commitments.
  • Participate in Firmwide Data Risk Management initiatives, including forums and working groups, to influence and drive implementation of Firmwide Policy, Standard, and Guidelines.
  • Provide executive-level content and thought leadership to identify and deliver data quality process and oversight improvements.
  • Mentor junior team members in executing data governance/management functions.
  • Partner with Control Management to drive remediation of data-related Issues and Action Plans.
  • Implement metrics-driven oversight and coordinate tools to track progress, identify challenges, and proactively convey issues to leadership.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in Financial Services with a background in Data Analytics/Project Management/Business Analysis.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, data lineage, and data governance functions.
  • Experience in driving/managing successful projects and programs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think laterally and convey an executive-level understanding of the big picture.
  • Excellent communication, presentation (oral and written), and influencing skills to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels.
  • Strong people management and development capability.
  • Comprehensive experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills and experience in producing executive-level presentation content.
  • Experience interpreting and creating governance documents (policies, standards, procedures) and process modeling capabilities.
  • Experience with developing content in Confluence and/or other collaboration tools.
  • Experience with Business Insight/Intelligence tools and capabilities such as Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Informatica, Collibra, Databricks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment while partnering across LOBs, Functions, and Regions.
