$1, 118 - $1, 187 per week | 52 Week Contract
Supplemental Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a federal government health clinic in Arlington, VA. This unique opportunity allows you to provide high-quality nursing care in a federal government health setting, serving a diverse patient population.
Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program (community college, junior college, college, university, or vocational program) approved by the appropriate state agency and accredited by NLNAC or CCNE
- Current and valid unrestricted LPN license in one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- At least 1 year of LPN experience after graduation
- Must meet Exhibit 5 requirements for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (per contract standards)
Contract Details: - $1, 118 - $1, 187 per week*
- Location - Arlington, VA
- Setting - Federal Government Health Clinic
- 52 week contract, with possibility to extend
- 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care to variable populations, using sound judgment to determine the order of care, treatments, and procedures
- Accurately assess, observe, and document patient conditions, reporting significant changes to the RN or physician
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and IV)
- Recognize and respond to urgent or emergent patient care needs, initiating emergency interventions as directed
- Support diagnostic and specialized procedures, including preparing patients, assisting during exams, and handling specialized instruments or equipment
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, and health practices
