If you are customer focused, enjoy building relationships, leading teams, and providing financial advice to commercial banking clients that serve the needs of unique and specialized industries, a role as the Industry Manager in Middle Market Banking is for you.

As an Industry Manager you will drive and oversee strategic initiatives within the Commercial Bank's Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services (ADG) segment. Your role is to hire, develop, and direct team members in their business development efforts to grow and retain profitable banking relationships with federal government contractors. In this role you will be expected to set strategic direction, drive national revenue and profitability growth, and ensure our success within the industry from origination to delivery. You will enable your team to offer solutions to clients across various product sets, including Treasury Services, Asset Management, Credit, and Investment Banking. This role requires national travel as well as close collaboration with leaders within the Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries organization and across the firm, including but not limited to Middle Office, Risk, Private Bank, and Investment Banking partners.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • Ten plus years account relationship management experience with a focus on Aerospace, Defense and Government Contracting business relationships
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services with knowledge of the region
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor with proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Management experience in a Commercial Bank setting, specifically leading a commercial lending sales team
  • FINRA Series 24, 63, 79 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire
  • Creative solution and problem-solving abilities and excellent business judgment with the ability to multitask
  • Bachelor's degree


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • Master's degree and formal credit training
  • Strong technology experience: digital background
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure with excellent communication skills
  • Self-directed, proactive, and creative: use sound judgment and navigates ambiguity to get things done
