Sourcing Team Lead This role will be part of the Sourcing Operations organization in the procurement pillar. What You Will Do The Sourcing Team Lead has end-to-end responsibility for all sourcing activities (including contracting) associated with tactical and delegated spend in relevant Procurement Categories. He / She is responsible for procuring supplies and services within the scope of Kenvue ' s business policies and procedures, at the best negotiated terms for price, quality and delivery to support Kenvue ' s business operations.
The person is responsible for providing end-to-end category support, delivering cost savings, buying and payment channel compliance, contract excellence and supplier optimization. This includes business engagement, sourcing strategy development with all kinds of analysis (industries, suppliers, spend by categories, stakeholders, etc.), contracting, supplier and/or stakeholder management, and procurement enablement activities, and leading a team of specialists working in support of specific Categories. Categories in scope could include Marketing, HR & Business Services, R& D, IT Services and Capital, Construction, and Facilities Services (CCFS).
This role is responsible for driving contract excellence, from contract creation, choosing and populating appropriate templates, through negotiation where needed, and up to supplier signature. The Sourcing Team Lead will drive supplier negotiations on contract terms, managing redlines/contract draft versions using Kenvue's contract lifecycle management ("
CLM") system, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and engaging the appropriate support as needed. Where escalation to the Kenvue Legal & Compliance team, or subject-matter experts (such as Privacy) is required, this role will put together and discuss recommendations for resolution.
This individual will develop strong, value-added working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers and demonstrate sound management of assigned contracts. The types of contracts they will process, with appropriate supervision, include (but are not limited to) Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, marketing agency or services agreements, consulting agreements, market research agreements, confidentiality agreements, and certain licensing agreements. The Sourcing Team Lead may also support the supply of goods, where relevant to their assigned Categories.
Key Responsibilities: Team and Stakeholder Management - Manage a team of 5 Sourcing Specialists across different categories, prioritize projects to drive maximum value.
- Accountable to deliver defined savings and service targets.
- Assess change needs, impact, and stakeholder management activities and support change management integration activities & compliance improvement education.
Sourcing: - Manage the full end-to-end sourcing process.
- Drive supplier negotiations and ensure performance in terms of service, quality, and delivery.
- Execute sourcing events, evaluate results, communicate with suppliers as needed.
- Receive, analyze, and resolve supplier inquiries, disputes, and payment discrepancies.
Contract negotiation, development and management: • Determine requirements for contract creation, and create draft contracts based on Kenvue approved templates.
• Negotiate full contract terms, in line with Kenvue guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Manage the contract execution process, from creation through to supplier signature, including storage / archiving in the Kenvue CLM system.
• Collaborate with Procurement colleagues, Kenvue Legal & Compliance, Finance, and other Kenvue functions as needed.
• Ensure that buying activities are aligned with industry standards and meet relevant legal or regulatory requirements.
• Review and recommend contract amendments through the contract 'lifecycle', in collaboration with Kenvue's business end-users.
What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications
- 5 years of sourcing / contract management experience (including contract drafting, review and negotiation)
- Ability to provide consultation and negotiation support to business partners.
- Leadership, communication, influencing, and collaboration skills are required.
- Experience in leading and coaching multicultural teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present complex information in English.
- Change management skill is highly required.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required, in a Supply Chain, Finance, or Business-related course.
- Master's degree is desirable.
- Experience in indirect procurement in the consumer goods industry
