What you will do
The Procurement Manager - New Product Manufacturing is responsible for managing day-to-day operational activities, proposing purchasing policies, conducting internal audits, managing budget and manpower acquisition, communicating objectives to staff, reviewing market trends, approving supplier selection, and maintaining effective communication with vendors:
Key Responsibilities
• Under the guidance of the Sr. Manager lead the procurement activities for new product development projects in the Skin, Beauty, and Essential Health categories
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of innovative ingredients and materials
• Drive supplier relationships and negotiations to secure high-quality components for new product formulations
• Gain proficiency in ERP systems and update prices, material and vendor data on a regular basis
• Stay abreast of market trends and industry innovations to identify opportunities for enhancing product offerings
• Manage the procurement budget for New Product Manufacturing projects, optimize value, and understand unit cost drivers without compromising on quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement procurement strategies in alignment with overall business objectives
• Analyze market trends and pricing to identify opportunities for cost savings and product quality improvements
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable contracts for key initiatives
• Provide input to departmental objectives and communicate objectives to teammates for performance monitoring
• Conduct internal audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices to enhance procurement efficiency
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
• University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in a related field
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in procurement or related function
• Proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes for new product development
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Desired Qualifications
• Experience in developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures
• Knowledge of market trends and pricing analysis
• Experience in contract management
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with budget management and cost control techniques
