What you will do
The Procurement Business Transformation Manager will manage data-driven transformation initiatives within the procurement function, ensuring that business processes-especially around categories, spend, and supplier management-are translated into clear, actionable technical requirements. This role will also lead the governance, testing, and execution of procurement systems, ensuring timely project delivery with a strong focus on ERP systems like SAP.
Key Responsibilities

- ERP & Master Data Integration: Work closely with ERP systems (such as SAP) to ensure seamless integration of procurement and master data processes. Ensure that category-specific procurement strategies align with the overall transformation roadmap.
- Category and Supplier Insights: Leverage data to provide insights into category performance, supplier relationships, and spend trends, helping to drive more informed procurement decisions.
- Translation of Business Requirements: Collaborate with category managers and procurement teams to understand business needs, translating these into technical documentation for system developers and IT teams, ensuring that systems support category strategy, supplier evaluation, and spend reporting.
- Testing & Implementation: Oversee the end-to-end testing of procurement solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Collaborate with IT to optimize the performance of ERP-based procurement systems, particularly around supplier performance management and spend visibility.
- Team & Project Management: Manage cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of procurement transformation projects. Set project timelines, manage resources, and ensure adherence to budgets, particularly in relation to key procurement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the liaison between procurement, category managers, and technical teams to ensure that project goals are aligned. Facilitate workshops to ensure all stakeholders are informed of progress and system functionality.
- Data Manipulation & Analysis: Provide advanced data manipulation expertise, leveraging tools to derive actionable insights from spend data, supplier performance, and procurement trends, ensuring these insights drive category strategies.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize procurement processes through technology and data-driven solutions, particularly in areas like spend management, category optimization, and supplier performance evaluation.
Key Experiences:
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including category management, supplier management, and spend analysis.
- Extensive experience in data governance, master data management, and procurement data strategy, with knowledge of ERP systems like SAP.
- Proven expertise in translating procurement business requirements into technical documentation for ERP implementation and optimization.
- Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and reporting using advanced tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, SAP BW) to drive procurement insights.
- Experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles, including timelines, resources, and budget control.
- Strong background in testing, implementing, and optimizing procurement platforms, with a focus on category-specific procurement systems.
- Experience in leading and mentoring cross-functional teams in a global, multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and systems is essential.
