What you will do
Kenvue is recruiting for a Global Inventory & COGS Accounting Supervisor for its Supply Chain Finance team. This role is part of Supply Chain Finance with the successful candidate being a valuable contributor to the Principle, Inventory, Costing, and Currency (PICC) team. The Inventory & COGS Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting Kenvue's inventory valuation accounting processes in compliance with company policy and applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Process responsibilities:
• Support the team in all activities related to inventory & COGS accounting, ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and reconciliation of all inventory transactions globally.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations.
• Support the team with any audit requests raised from the Legal Entity Controllership team.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous learning.
• Act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders, providing insights and guidance on inventory and cost accounting matters.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
• Remain updated with industry trends, changes in accounting rulings, and latest technologies
Compliance:
• Assist in any audit process raised by Legal Entity Controllership.
• Adhere to the strong internal controls in place to achieve "adequate" internal and external audit ratings.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications:
• A minimum of a bachelor's level degree or equivalent is required, preferably in accounting or finance.
• Fluent English, other language skills desirable
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and COGS analysis, with a strong understanding of supply chain finance.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with audit processes, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
• Proficiency in SAP (FI, CO, MM modules preferred), Microsoft tools and Blackline.
• Experience leading or supervising teams, with the ability to coach and develop direct reports or cross-functional teams.
• Experience in a Commercial Accounting department desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and process improvement skills, with the ability to drive efficiencies and optimize reporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies
