Description:

The Principal Innovative Technologies Advisor is primarily a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for guiding interagency outreach. This Principal Subject Matter Expert understands the capture process, development and lifecycle of technical software development efforts. Execution of these responsibilities will require the ability to create solutions to support external engagement, provide expert knowledge of industry standards, processes, and maintain awareness of technology to achieve the program objectives.

The successful applicant will join a multi-discipline distributed team and provide assistance for external engagement for software development projects. The applicant will assist coordination with external agencies and partners to distribute and resolve complex IT challenges.

The Principal Innovative Technologies Advisor Primary Responsibilities:

The Principal Innovative Technologies Advisor will assist in prioritizing and coordinating the development of software development outreach and engagement. This position will advise and assist external engagements with agencies working to resolve threats in complex computer operations. You will also maintain awareness of advanced software development projects to balance user requirements with technical realities.

This position may provide assistance in customized training and documentation for emerging software products. This position plans and facilitates exercises focused on complex network operations in support of research and development outreach.

The Principal Innovative Technologies Advisor Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work with developers to assess features of proprietary software
  • Attend SCRUMs and make recommendations to software development
  • Maintain awareness of projects to identify and mitigate risks

The Principal Innovative Technologies Advisor Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline along with 12-15 years of relevant work experience
  • Must have 5 years experience in innovative software development
  • Must have experience related to Computer Security Engineering
  • Must have experience in Linux, Windows and Android Operating Systems

The Principal Innovative Technologies Advisor Desired Skills:

  • Security Network Operations experience / fusion centers experience desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of experience, in computer science, engineering or related discipline
  • Python, Linux, Ubuntu and Penetration Testing experience
  • COMPTIA A+
  • Kubernetes experience is a plus
  • Networking: TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, Firewall, VPN
