Deloitte is hiring a Tax Manager - Washington National Tax (GES - Compensation and Benefits) in Washington, DC. This is a full-time position, and requiring a bachelor degree.
Do you have a Compensation and Benefits tax background with experience in Executive Compensation, Qualified Plans, Employment Taxes, or a related practice area? Deloitte's Compensation and Benefits team in our Washington National Tax (WNT) practice is looking for an experienced professional to join our tax practice.

In today's world, compensation, and benefits (including executive compensation, retirement plans, and health and welfare plans), employment taxes, and global mobility tax services, play a strategic role in helping a business attract and retain top-performing employees. Our team offers highly integrated, high-value advice to Tax and Human Resources professionals and client leadership teams that are focused on developing and managing compensation and benefits plans that are meaningful and cost effective, designed to meet corporate objectives, and deliver employee satisfaction.
The Team
Deloitte Tax's WNT professionals offer unique insight into the many factors affecting taxation, from the tax policies that drive federal tax legislation, to understanding the technical nuances that may create compliance exposure. Professionals in the WNT practice are a select group of specialists whose knowledge, skills, and experience are integral to understanding technical issues. Deloitte Tax's WNT professionals work closely with practice office tax professionals and across Deloitte functions, as well as with clients, to evaluate complicated issues and help manage risk in today's increasingly sophisticated business world.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, DC, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Washington, DC, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $156, 975 to $261, 625.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Qualifications Required:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 3+ years' experience in taxation in a law firm or 5+ years' experience in taxation at a law firm, public accounting firm or similar practice environment
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- One of the following active accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA exam
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Certifications:
- Certified Financial Accountant (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
Preferred:
- An advanced degree
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities
