Job Overview
As a Cost Accountant, you'll manage accounting transactions, compile financial information, handle billing, and create accurate financial reports for the Wallingford, CT location.

Key Responsibilities
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts and support month-end closing
• Create daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports
• Manage fixed assets, track depreciation, and analyze profit/loss statements
• Record and reconcile balance sheet accounts and accruals
• Prepare product costing calculations
• Handle intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and monitor capital expenditure requests (AFEs)
• Support audits, budgeting, and special financial projects
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with leadership on financial planning and business strategy

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
• 5-8 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC requirements
• Experience working with operational teams
• Adaptable to change with proven flexibility
• JD Edwards and Hyperion knowledge is a plus
