Job Description
Weatherford International is hiring a Assembly Technician II in Wallingford, CT. This is a full-time position.
Job Purpose
The Optical Technician will assist with the manufacturing and testing of various fiber optic and electrical components within a manufacturing environment. Also, able to perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor or manager within the physical constraints of the job.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Manufacture, assemble and test various fiber optic and electrical components
• Perform Soldering of electrical components and inspect solder quality
• Identify non-conforming material
• Follow instructions to maintain workflow in accordance with process cycle process times.
• Perform intricate procedures during product assembly process
Experience & Education
REQUIRED
• High School Diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED
• 1 to 2+ years of related experience in fiber optic and/or electronic assembly
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
• Good computer skills and Microsoft knowledge
• IPC J-STD-100 certification
Travel Requirement:
This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: < 10%
