Tsugami America is seeking an Entry-Level Field Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for recent technical school graduates, early-career technicians, or individuals with hands-on mechanical or electrical aptitude who want to learn and grow.
As a Field Service Technician, you will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of Tsugami CNC machine tool equipment at customer facilities throughout New England. No prior CNC service experience is required-we provide a structured, in-house training program and ongoing technical development to set you up for success.

What You Will Contribute:
With training and support from experienced technicians, you will:
- Travel to customer sites to assist with the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tool equipment and controls
- Learn how to identify performance issues and assist with preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime
- Support the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
- Use machine manuals, technical documentation, and internal resources to research and resolve machine issues
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service status, next steps, and completed work
- Complete service documentation accurately (service reports, install reports, etc.)
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Participate in ongoing technical training, safety training, and manufacturer-led seminars
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge of Tsugami product lines and evolving CNC technology
- Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Mechanical, electrical, or maintenance experience (academic, internship, military, or hands-on experience welcomed)
- Interest in CNC machinery, automation, or manufacturing technology
- Basic ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics (training provided)
- Familiarity with hand tools and precision measuring equipment is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and service documentation tools)
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Valid driver's license required

- Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
