Summary of Responsibility:

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to fill a Paralegal role providing executive-level legal and compliance support. This position partners closely with leadership to deliver comprehensive legal, compliance, risk management, and executive assistance across the organization.

The Paralegal serves as a trusted advisor, supporting key functions including contract administration, regulatory compliance, insurance and claims management, corporate governance, and real estate planning initiatives. This role requires strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage complex matters while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

This newly created role supports continued development within the Morris Group. This role is a highly visible, detail-driven role ideal for a proactive paralegal who thrives in an in-house environment and enjoys working at the intersection of legal, operational, and executive decision-making.

What You Will Contribute:
  • Serve as the internal "gatekeeper" for Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and vendor contracts, ensuring appropriate protections are in place before business commitments are finalized
  • Assist with contract lifecycle management, including tracking execution dates, renewals, expirations, and obligations.
  • Review and manage all company agreements, including customer, vendor, and partner contracts
  • Coordinate with outside legal counsel as necessary and maintain accurate and organized document management systems.
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance matters, including monitoring deadlines and preparing supporting documentation.
  • Support the initiatives for the Company's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance matters, including monitoring deadlines and preparing supporting documentation.
  • Support the administration of the company's insurance programs, assisting with renewals by coordinating with brokers, outside counsel and internal stakeholders and managing policies, certificates of insurance, and endorsements.
  • Assist with claims management, including preparing claim notices, gathering supporting documentation, and coordinating with insurers, brokers and internal teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Company, insurance brokers, carriers, and legal counsel
  • Assist leadership with facility planning initiatives, including expansions, lease renewals, and site evaluations
  • Review, summarize and manage all commercial leases and property-related agreements.
  • Support documentation and due diligence for potential real estate transactions.
  • Support executive leadership with governance-related initiatives and special projects
  • Prepare correspondence, summaries, reports, and presentations for executive review
  • Handle sensitive executive leadership, legal, and real estate information with discretion and confidentiality

Qualifications & Competencies:
  • 3-5 Years of experience supporting executive-level leaders
  • Background in an in-house corporate paralegal role strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, entity management, transaction support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Exceptionally Detail-Oriented: Demonstrates a high level of precision and judgment, identifying conflicting indemnity provisions, missing insurance endorsements, and nuanced contractual risks before they impact executive decision-making or business operations.
  • Technically Savvy: Confidently reviews and interprets technical documentation, including cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable information for leadership. Familiarity with employment-based immigration processes.
  • Proactive and Strategic: Anticipates legal, compliance, insurance, and operational risks and independently implements documentation, controls, and processes to mitigate exposure before issues arise.
  • Highly Discreet and Trusted: Manages sensitive executive, ownership, legal, and real estate information with absolute confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Organized and Accountable: Effectively prioritizes and manages multiple high-impact workstreams, maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and follow-through while supporting ownership and executive leadership.
