Description:
Join a leading company in the Maritime Industry in a critical role on our Finance & Accounting team! Moran Towing Corporation ( www.morantug.com ) has an exciting opportunity available as a Junior Treasury Analyst in our New Canaan, CT office . This full-time, exempt position reports to the Treasurer and Director of Strategic Finance. Position Summary The Treasury Analyst facilitates daily treasury operations, provides accurate cash reporting and short-term cashflow forecasting, and assists with bank account management and other Treasury functions. Treasury Analyst will be analytical, organize, and have a solid understanding of treasury functions and financial systems.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to: - Maintain positive banking relationship with depository banks.
- Liaise with the company's business units in handling bank inquiries and related matters.
- Prepare short-term cashflow forecasts to aid in debt management.
- Manage and maintain bank signers and permissions across platforms.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to treasury systems, workflows, and controls.
- Maintain and improve treasury-related reports, dashboards, and documentation.
- Support account opening/closing, service requests, fee analysis, and bank documentation requests.
- Work with Treasury management to maintain and rationalize the company's choice of key banks including the analysis of bank fees, services, relationships, credit levels, and counterparty credit quality and exposure.
- Monitor and analyze bank fees including credit card and cash management expenses.
- Assist other departments (e.g., Accounting) with quarter-end and ad hoc information requests as needed.
- Support corporate accounting, corporate tax, financial planning, and other functions as they relate to Treasury transactions.
- Work with FP& A on developing cashflow forecasts and key performance indicators.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CTP preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in treasury, banking, corporate finance, or accounting
- Experience with online banking platforms and ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including financial modeling and data analysis)
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence systems including via programming such as SQL, MDX, and Python
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to distill complex data into clear insights.

Junior Treasury Analyst position is
$80, 000 - $95, 000 per year. This pay range represents Moran's commitment to pay transparency and is a reasonable estimate of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience, and expertise related to the qualifications.
