What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role, you will be a member of the Strategy/Executive Staff and report to the Director, Strategy / Executive Staff, and work alongside the Executive Leadership Team as well various regional and corporate functions to identify and assess business and market development opportunities and initiatives to profitably grow Linde's existing / new markets and businesses
  • Primary responsibilities include the annual corporate strategy process as well as special projects for the CEO
  • You will develop strong relationships with key team members throughout all levels of Linde including with Senior management
  • Execute key projects and perform critical analysis for the CEO, Senior Management and Board of Directors
  • Further, you will prepare and present strategic and financial analyses of Linde's existing competencies, capabilities, and conduct market, competition, and trend analyses to identify new growth opportunities
  • Drive Linde's group-wide annual strategy process in close collaboration with all business units (BUs) and Corporate Functions (Finance, R& D, IR, etc.)
  • Support preparation and execution of management workshops
  • Identify, evaluate, and present business cases and plans for new business development opportunities and initiatives

What makes you great

  • You have a degree in engineering (preferred), economics or similar, with a high technical affinity, ideally complemented by an MBA and international experience
  • For internal candidates, a minimum of five (5) years of experience in market and business analysis, and strategic assessment and planning required
  • For external candidates, 5+ years of relevant professional experience in the field of corporate strategy, preferably from a leading management consultancy, investment banking, in-house strategy department, etc. Project experience in Industrial Gas, Chemical industries preferred
  • Skilled in translating complex strategies and ideas into clear compelling presentations, utilizing advanced tools and visual aids to effectively communicate key information and drive actionable insights
  • You must be comfortable with using AI and digital tools
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders across the globe, while demonstrating maturity, professionalism, discretion, and integrity
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative strategic, market, business research, assessment, and presentation skills required
  • Leadership and management ability in a team environment, including the ability to set and meet goals and priorities for self and others with minimal supervision
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, i.e., preparing well-structured storylines to deliver insights in an impactful manner up to the Board of Director level
  • High sense of quality and urgency paired with a high degree of flexibility
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in translating ideas and concepts into Power Point presentations
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, otherforeign languages an advantage
