Senior Construction Inspectors (Remote Site Locations)

GPI is seeking Senior Construction Inspectors to provide construction inspection services on various Road & Bridge Construction projectsthroughout the state of Connecticut for CTDOT, Turnpike, and Transit projects. Candidates will inspect work & traffic control performed by the contractor to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications. For more information, visit: www.gpinet.com Responsibilities: Assisting the project Resident Engineer with project administration.Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.Perform daily construction inspection of work activities, which may include the following: Collection of materials samplesField testing and sampling of concrete in accordance with ASTM standard procedures.Utilize field testing equipment to conduct in-place density tests of asphalt and/or soil Qualifications: BS in Civil Engineering, or a related field of study, or 4 years of experience with a NICET IIMust have a valid drivers licensePrior experience in performing construction inspectionMust be physically capable and willing to work outdoorsWork Contractor hours, may include nights and weekendsOne or more of the following current certifications American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Construction Special Inspector and/or Concrete Field Testing TechnicianAsphalt Technician Certification (preferred)Hot Mix Asphalt Density Testing Inspector / NETTCP HMA Plant TechnicianNICET IIOSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training
