Description:

We are seeking a college summer intern in our Monroe, CT facility. This intern will support our Quality Department including the following potential projects/assignments:
  • Process Capability Analysis (CpK, histograms)
  • Creating Video Work Instructions
  • Quality Control Daily Checklists implementation
  • Scanning, filing, document control of Manufacturing and Quality documents
  • Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) sheet validations
  • Internal Auditing of Business Processes and Manufacturing Processes

Education & Experience
  • Currently enrolled undergrad - Minimum 3.0 GPA

Skills
  • Understand GD& T and how to read blueprints
  • Strong computer skills, with ability to program databases desired
  • A working knowledge of python, VBA, data collection, and analysis is a plus
  • Quality Engineering and inspection knowledge
  • Strong problem solving and effective communication skills
  • Possess general knowledge in algebraic & statistical mathematics.
  • Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents

Working Conditions

Office and Shopfloor - on-site presence is required for this position

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs.
  • Able to sit, stand, bend, squat and walk about the facility
  • Walk of uneven and slippery surfaces

This role is to support document control and management of quality reports for our customers. This endeavor will include SPC, research and recording documents.
