Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • With the R& D team, take ownership of a project to define, implement and validate a physical simulation of a selected device or model system.
  • Document the project purpose, results, technical requirements, solution architecture, and validation work in a report and presentation.
  • Develop, document, and verify simulation code
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment

Education & Experience
  • Enrolled in an advanced degree program physics, applied physics, precision mechanical engineering, optics or a related field

Skills
  • Expertise in physical simulation models involving heat transfer and optics using tools such as COMSOL
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions
  • On site in engineering office and laboratory facility
