Role Overview The Product Design Director for Provider and Client/Broker portfolios plays a pivotal role within our health insurance and services company. Key Accountabilities - Partner with Product and Technology leadership to establish and refine design strategies for the Provider and Client/Broker portfolios.
- Align design initiatives with the company's overall strategic objectives and growth plans.
- Stay informed of industry trends, ensuring the design strategy is innovative and forward-thinking.
- Roadmap Oversight
- Oversee the delivery roadmap, managed by junior team members, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design efforts seamlessly across different domains.
- Champion a human-centered approach to experience design, enhancing the usability and engagement of health insurance products.
- Apply design thinking principles to deeply understand user needs and translate them into actionable design solutions.
- Foster a culture that values empathetic, user-focused design across the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of talented designers, fostering an environment of growth and creativity.
- Empower team members to own their projects and make impactful contributions, providing the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
- Encourage collaboration, open communication, and knowledge sharing within the team and with broader stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience- 10+ years of experience in this space.
- 8+ years of experience in product design leadership roles
- Experience managing large teams within a matrixed organization
- Experience and comfort reporting to Executive Leadership Team members where appropriate
- Demonstrated results in being able to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into both a short-term and long-term strategic plan
- Entrepreneurial with either startup experience and/or driving new initiatives within a large organization

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 158, 300 - 263, 900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
