The Cigna Group is seeking an experienced communications professional to join the Evernorth Health Services Communications Team supporting Pharmacy and Care Delivery as a
Communications Senior Advisor. In this role, you will lead and execute the communications strategy for critical programs and leaders across Evernorth Health Services. Success comes from taking a collaborative, proactive, enterprise approach that drives impact and promotes key business and reputational efforts.
Responsibilities: - Create and execute internal and external communications strategies to drive key business efforts for our Pharmacy and Care Delivery businesses including but not limited to Accredo, CuraScript SD, and Express Scripts Pharmacy.
- Develop internal and external communications plan(s) and materials aligned to business priorities; supporting product launches, client communications, press releases, social media, newsroom story development, agency management, etc., as well as content and measurement to support these plans.
- Provide counsel and advice - and take lead on the development of work product (e.g., communications materials) - on significant business communications matters, often requiring cross-organization coordination and collaboration across a highly matrixed environment.
- Drive communications efforts for key executives, including internal communications support (e.g., Town Halls, org announcements), social media support (i.e., LinkedIn) and event support (e.g., speechwriting/presentation development, external event coordination, etc.).
- Support issues management work across business as needed.
Qualifications: - At least 10 years of communications experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in communications, journalism, creative writing, marketing or similar field preferred.
- Health care experience required, experience in benefits management, pharmacy, provider and/or care delivery a plus.
- Proactive mindset; curiosity; passion for learning.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to flex to a range of executive styles.
- Experience in corporate storytelling, media relations, social media, internal communications, issues and crisis management.
- Experience in public affairs communications a plus.
- Adept at planning, managing, and prioritizing work to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, creative self-starter who is eager to take on projects, learn new concepts, and dive into new territories.
- Results-oriented, with a proven track record of executing strategic communications programming, preferably in a large matrixed organization.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 111, 000 - 185, 000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
