ARFSS is hiring a Purchasing - Manager, Purchasing in Meriden, CT. This is a full-time position.

POSITION SUMMARY The Procurement Manager leads the development and execution of sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity, optimize costs, and support business growth at RFS Technologies. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and drives procurement best practices aligned with company objectives and compliance standards. This position is based on-site in Meriden, CT, with occasional travel for supplier visits, industry events, and business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop Procurement Strategies: Design and implement sourcing strategies aligned with supply chain objectives, business needs, and profitability targets. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers; run RFQ/RFP and QBR processes; negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms; and maintain strong supplier partnerships. Purchasing Oversight: Collaborate with Buyers and supply planning teams to oversee purchasing and replenishment processes, including order placement, delivery, and receipt. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Cost Analysis & Reduction: Analyze spend, bill of materials (BOM) costs, and raw material trends to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities. Budget Management: Manage procurement budgets and deliver against cost-reduction targets. Market Intelligence: Monitor industry and commodity trends, pricing fluctuations, and new supplier or product developments. Reporting & Insights: Prepare and present procurement metrics, cost analyses, and performance reports to senior leadership. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies Working knowledge of accounting and cost structures (preferred) Experience with metals and/or plastics manufacturing processes (preferred) Experience in a cable and wire manufacturing environment (preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/procurement systems is a plus EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in engineering, Applied Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
