Pay Range: $60, 000 - $150, 000+ (Uncapped Commission Earnings)

Reports To: Colorado Director of Sales

Position Summary

The Commercial Lines Insurance Advisor plays a key role in driving new business growth across the territory and region. This proactive, sales‑focused role is responsible for identifying prospects, developing relationships, and closing commercial insurance opportunities.

The Advisor partners closely with the Colorado Director of Sales and the service team to develop business plans, strengthen client relationships, and support long‑term retention and expansion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new commercial clients using proactive outreach strategies

  • Utilize networking, referrals, centers of influence, sales calls, and digital outreach to generate opportunities

  • Meet and exceed key performance indicators including revenue, new business premium, and activity goals

  • Maintain an active and organized sales pipeline within the CRM

  • Present tailored coverage solutions based on client risk exposures and operational needs

  • Conduct account reviews to identify coverage gaps and cross‑sell opportunities

  • Collaborate with service teams to support retention and client satisfaction

  • Develop relationships with underwriters to stay current on appetites and market trends

  • Negotiate coverage terms and pricing with carriers

  • Participate in community and industry networking events

  • Follow agency workflows, documentation standards, and compliance procedures

  • Attend training, meetings, and continuing education opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Property & Casualty License (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)

  • Proven success in business development, sales, or insurance production

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems preferred

  • Associate degree preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of education

  • Commitment to ongoing professional education and development
