Description:
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation base range is $150, 000 - $175, 000 per year, plus the expected commission range is $ 90, 000 - $110, 000 per year.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is a unique opportunity to join the Renewable Energy and Carbon Advisory team within Schneider's Sustainability Business. Schneider is the world's leading corporate renewable energy advisor, having advised on over 20, 000MW of corporate PPAs, 100 million EACs, and 100+ million metric tons of carbon offsets. Our Tax Credit Investment Advisory team has successfully closed over $1.7B in tax transactions in the past 18 months on behalf of clients, and currently represents clients with over $10B in annual US tax liability. Position Summary
• Schneider is seeking an Associate Director to help lead a growing and exciting offer to help corporations continue along their sustainability and renewable energy journeys
• This position will help lead the strategic and tactical implementation for Schneider Electric's Tax Credit Investment Services team
• The Tax Credit Investment Services team supports and educates Schneider Clients on strategic tax credit investments into renewable energy, advanced manufacturing and other related technologies in order to drive the US energy transition, reduce their carbon footprints and meet sustainability goals
Roles & Responsibilities
• Main Responsibilities:
o Lead tax credit transactions for clients
o Provide subject-matter expertise throughout the process
o Shape innovation in the renewables market
o Refine and standardize Tax Credit Services
• Support sales prior to contracting with clients
• Assist in program design set-up with clients and deal leads
• Manage stakeholder education and transaction readiness
• Source and evaluate renewable energy projects
• Lead the development of sales materials and templates
• Train Business Development and Client Delivery teams on Tax Credit Services
• Coordinate client and prospect data management in Salesforce
• Create regular progress reports for management
• Organize files and resources for team navigation
• Develop and manage project schedules for stakeholders
• Improve customer satisfaction with Tax Credit Investment services
• Collaborate with Business Development to optimize service offerings
• Provide thought leadership on renewable energy investments
• Design scalable processes to expand the customer base and increase efficiency

Qualifications
• Extensive renewable energy development or similar industry in investment banking, corporate finance, or consulting
• Significant renewable energy tax equity finance (ITC, PTC, various structures) and knowledge of renewable energy project economics
• Detailed knowledge of renewable energy project underwriting, U.S. energy markets, regulatory structures, power agreements, derivatives, and regional incentives
• Familiarity with transaction-based workstreams such as debt or tax equity financing, M& A
• High degree of familiarity with project finance models to underwrite debt and/or tax equity
• Understanding of tax equity documentation (LLCAs, ECCAs, MIPAs) and investor reporting requirements
• Project management with complex projects, ideally involving digital platforms or technologies
• Establishing and fostering partnerships with key customers
• Strong knowledge of foundational elements of project finance
Skills & Abilities
• Aptitude for learning new topics, particularly decarbonization, marketing communications, renewable energy development, and digitization
• Versatility and ability to work across multiple disciplines
• Creativity in formulating and implementing service and deliverable enhancements
• Ability to work well with a large network of internal colleagues and manage cross-disciplinary projects
• Managing customer interactions, including calendar management, setting agendas, leading meetings, summarizing key takeaways and action items
• Well-organized self-starter with strong attention to detail
• Managing internal communications and escalations of issues
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce, SharePoint, and Teams
Preferences
• Degree in Finance, Law, or a related technical field
• Experience diligencing PV, storage, or wind projects
• Strong interest in renewable energy services with a focus on solar and wind project finance and project management
