The Field Training Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the development of new field employees by coordinating on-the-job training activities, maintaining evaluation records, and ensuring consistency in training across crews. This position works closely with field mentors and training leadership to track trainee progress, support skill development, and promote a safe, structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizes and schedules on the OJT training program, crew/task training assignments, workshops, and orientations.
  • Support the tracking of employee(s) progress through OJT program by maintaining OJT training records, attendance, and competency verification logs for training employees.
  • Coordinate with trainers, employees, and operations management to ensure employee OJT requirements are met, including in person field visits.
  • Prepare OJT materials, manuals, reports and assist with general administrative duties, including data entry and competency progress tracking as needed.
  • Monitor employees enrolled in the OJT program to ensure their development and growth aligns with company training requirements and deadlines.
  • Manage communication regarding training schedules, updates, and requirements.
  • Attend and support occasional Saturday recruiting, new employee orientation, training sessions, and or field visit when required.


Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus.
  • Two years gas industry experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in or willing to learn Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the role.


Working Conditions:
• This position requires the ability to work in an office, shop setting and on active
construction sites. The work environment can vary and may include a controlled office
setting, and/or exposure to outside elements.

Compensation: $22-29/hour depending on experience or union scale
