JOB SUMMARY:

This role will create objective-based, engaging trainings and supplemental material. You will also observe and evaluate trainings to determine progress, provide feedback, make / implement suggestions for improvement, and ensure trainings are effective and aligned with organizational goals. This role requires strong skills in creativity, analysis, and relationship building. This role will be located in our Dove Valley office.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently design, develop, implement, and evaluate effectively training programs that drive measurable performance improvement and can be used by novice trainers
  • Effectively analyze training needs, including through leadership & employee communication, surveys, shadowing, interviews, document review, etc.
  • Work closely with SMEs and stakeholders to understand their needs, propose solutions, and develop customized training programs
  • Communicate with L& D team and larger department about roadblocks and work consistently towards solutions
  • Manage L& D project deliverables and timelines to achieve goals and objectives within established deadlines
  • Consistently adhere to quality expectations in all work produced and work procedures followed
  • Efficiently and effectively implement all feedback received from stakeholders, L& D leadership, and other sources
  • Develop and maintain project plans to communicate progress and actions required to meet deliverable expectations
  • Utilize project management technology to provide visibility to project progress and support the work of others on the team
  • Identify high quality trainings from third parties that will address areas of need within the company; works with the training team to coordinate / schedule these trainings
  • Create assessments or tracking practices that effectively assess employees’ ability to perform each trained skill
  • Create evaluations to gauge the business impact of developed trainings; make effective choices about how to update trainings based on evaluation data
  • Frequently collaborate with Lead Training Specialist and other members of the L& D team
  • Coordinate with the Primoris Corporate Office and other Primoris Business Units about training offerings and needs of employees on project sites
  • When needed, assist L& D Team with communicating with leadership / learners in the field
  • Assist with other L& D tasks and initiatives as directed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to commute to our Dove Valley office
  • College degree and previous experience in Instructional Design, Education, Construction, or related field
  • Ability to effectively and independently design and evaluate trainings
  • Excellent skills in time management, working autonomously, creative thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and both verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in backwards planning / ADDIE model / related techniques
  • Proficiency in word processing, data collection, and presentation software
  • Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers
  • Highly organized person who can use planning and processes to support daily work
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems using prescribed guidelines or policies
  • Positive people skills and pleasant demeanor
  • Punctual & dependable
  • Passion for helping others

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Previous teaching or instructional experience
  • Experience in construction or related field
  • Experience in developing construction-related trainings
  • Proficient in capturing videos and editing videos
  • Proficient in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole
  • Proficiency in authoring tools (Captivate, Storyline, etc.)

PAY EQUITY

$72, 000 - $80, 000

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
